Weaponless Is Helpless
Recently a lone woman hide her children in their home and shot an intruder 5 times.
Would she have been able to stop the intruder with a knife? Maybe...maybe he would have angrily
murdered her with her own knife after "a swing and a MISS"!
In the UK, there are extremely strict gun laws but that has not stopped violent crime at all, in fact, it has increased. Not only guns, but there are also very stringent laws on the sale of sharp objects:
The UK outlawed the switchblade and gravity knife in 1959.
In 1988 possession of a pocket knife with a blade larger than 3 inches in public became illegal.
In 1996, it became illegal to sell a razor blade to anyone under the age of 16.
(what about those 'injector blades about 2 millimeters wide (1/2 inch) and 19 centimeters long or about 2 inches. 'Scuse me while I get my tweezers to pick up this wicked razor blade to dispose of properly!
Can a school kid with a beard get excused from shaving because he is too young to buy razor blades? NO...YOU must buy an electric razor! When the grill wears out, YOU MUST buy another grill at the price of the entire electric razor minus 5 shillings!
